Circulation coins

Located in Winnipeg, the Mint’s high-tech plant produces over 1 billion circulation coins each year. They also issue special circulation coins to mark events or occasions like the coloured Poppy quarter, the 2010 Vancouver Olympic mascot coins and the Millennium series of 25-cent coins.

Collector coins

The Mint’s collector coins,  crafted of gold, silver or platinum, are individually handled as they enter the presses. Some coins feature the Mint’s proprietary technologies: laser enhancement, selective plating, and double holograms. It also produces limited-mintage numismatic coins honouring major national achievements and themes.

Gifts souvenirs

Collector coins are valuable gifts that last a lifetime and the Mint has gifts for every budget. They offer  coin sets, jewellery, timepieces, and commemorative medallions. You can look into the Royal Canadian Mint store when you need to find a high-quality gift. The Mint also has exclusive watches that feature numismatic coins perfectly reproduced to form functional faces.

Bullion

The Mint’s precision-crafted 24-karat Gold Maple Leaf coins, which was introduced in 1979, have become the standard by which other bullion coins are measured. It refines and produces Maple Leaf bullion coins, trade bars, gold wafers and gold kilo bars.
